I will take a double, bacon, extra cheese hamburger, side of chili cheese fries with extra cheese, and... a diet coke.
;-) While I appreciate the humor in the juxtaposition, I know from family members that some people just plain prefer the taste of diet coke. When Coke Cola formulated their diet coke, they did not follow the usual method of just replacing the sugar in the regular coke formula and then trying to adjust the recipe to achieve an acceptable taste. They started from a blank slate and created a unique formula for their diet coke product. The "New Coke" fiasco was actually a reverse of the normal process. New coke was the diet coke formula with the artificial sweeteners replace with natural sugars.
