Because, as a business, they decided that the bad press from the
protests would outway the economic benefit from running it.

It is all about the money.

Is it fair? Nope.

The question is: Did the shows get run at all or was it removed by the
government (that is freedom of the press)

An ancillary question is: how many bombings, kidnappings, buildings
were sprayed by gunfire? (I left out threats, because there very
probably were threats of violence made, even though none were acted
upon that I have heard)
