So....thanks to all that supported me in my launch into the ocean today.
Thanks to you, you helped us raise about $435,000 for the Special
Olympics! w00t!

As far as the water and jumping in went, it really wasn't all that bad.
The water temp was about 40 degrees, but then again, we're in a warm
spell here, so the air temp was about the same. The 20 minute wait in
40 degree weather in just my shorts was worse than the water itself!
Jumping in the water was a little shocking at first, but OK once you
"got in". All in all, I had a great time, and I'd like to thank
everyone who helped out. It was appreciated.

Funny side story - my wife had to wade into the surf up to her knees
just to get some kind of photo opp, but unfortunately, she couldn't find
me, so we're going to have to wait for pics to come in from
friends/family before we can post any. Guess that's what happens when
there are over 4000 people attending the same event. Joke's on her, I
guess...I get the glory, she got a pair of wet boots, socks, and pants. :)

I'll post pics as soon as I get them to those that helped out. I'll
post the link here if anyone else is interested.

GO STEELERS!

Ray
