I did read the damn thing. I see lots of pictures but no location, or any mention of it replacing anything, which is why I did not see it as incompatible with Jerry's link. It does mention Anacostia waterfront, which would imply the South Capitol Street bridge not Pennsylvania Avenue, but you're the one who mentioned that. I'll take your word for it. I am sick of the subject and thought it was a stupid argument when it started. If it is on Pennsylvania, then they are really stretching a point to call it Anacostia. It's kind of like saying the Capital Center is in Hyattsville. MMMM only very sorta ;)
I don't need a link to know that Anacostia Metro is in or near Anacostia, Jesus. That was my point several iterations ago ;) Let me just say it one more time. Southeast DC is a quadrant which contains neighborhoods. Two of these neighborhoods are Capitol Hill and Anacostia. These are very different neighborhoods in terms of location, crime rate, median income and number of politicians who live there. Done. >Dana.. at least read the damn thing... > >http://www.Dcballpark.com > >Is done by the people that are building the bloody ballpark, they oughta >know where the damn thing is. It's in Anacostia, it's on the damn map as >Anacostia. It's been Anacostia for decades. It will continue to be Anacostia >after the stadium is built > >I'm not embarrassed in the least, I live here, I know of what I speak. > >I'm through beating a dead horse. We agree on a lot go things but DC >geography isn't one of them... > >Here's a DC Metro system map >http://www.wmata.com/metrorail/systemmap.cfm > >see where the Anacostia Metro station is, that's where they're building the >new ballpark, that's Anacostia it always has been ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:196269 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
