The high road is over rated and he doesn't know that because he hasn't been there. If he was on the high road and didn't think it was overrated I would have said "you don't think that" instead of "you wouldn't KNOW that". So I think this mean #2 applies to you :P The list was kind of pleasant while you were away, when's your next trip :) It's hard to get of the low road once you're on it.
