I remember some very spirited discussions about this console system.
It has been said that the CEO is a con man, who manages to get people
to invest in these technologies and other ventures, sets up as the
CEO/Director and pulls a sweet salary with benefits, probably cashes
in shares, stocks etc. and then the idea crumbles, but this guy, and I
guess whoever he sets up with, walk away millionaires. Of course, the
investors lose their money, and who knows what happens to any staff
they hire in the interim.

I guess, that according to the books this is legal, but I find it
highly highly unethical.

"JonSmith writes "According to Gamespot, Infinium's Phantom 'Game
Service' is officially on hold, with no expected release date
whatsoever. The final price tag for this misty chunk of technology?
US$62.7 million dollars. Shall we savour the moment? I think so." "
