Hello,

So I'm trying something new here, setting up Windows Server 2003.

The Dell server has it preinstalled, but before I started the machine
it came up telling me that I need to have the server fully connected
to the live network before going into the 2003 PreInstalled Setup.

So, the server has two Network Cards. It says to plug one card into
the main LAN Router (8 pport 1GB linksys switch), and plug the other
one into the WAN (Speedstream ADSL router).

Does this then use the Windows Server as some sort of router between
the Internet (ADSL) and the local network?

Can I just have everything flat and connect the Server directly to the
switch along with the ADSL connection?

Doing it the other way seems to be more..complicated to me.

Any advice/suggestions? Never done this before, I've always setup
small, flat peer to peer networks.
