No disrespect to the various writers of the various Vertigo comics with whom
I've had religious discussions but those are comics that may make use of
religious lore, but represents it in a story that is not religious lore.
i.e. comics are fiction while religious lore is only fiction to
non-believers.

Gaiman's story of Adam, Eve and others is just that, a story. Rushkoff's
retelling of the sacrifice of Isaac as a Moloch ritual is just that, a story
(and a rather insulting one to me). The rendition of Lucifer from the comic
(based on various writers) is so far from what Christian lore says as to not
even be the same character. But comics are comics.

I know this sounds like a strange thing to focus on but I've seen too many
times stories written in comics and even role playing games taken as
religious (or even non-religious) fact without any thought of the source. A
comic is entertainment with no need to get facts right. Just ask Marvel and
DC when it comes to continuity. :)

>> Nice! That's a bit of the lore I didn't know. :)
