I used a two part approach with mine.
The first was whenever I got jumped on to turn around and ignore the dog and
even go into another room. all they want is attention so if jumping kills
the attention, then they will eventually stop.

The second is to give them an alternative behavior. Train them into sitting
for attention. A sitting dog isnt jumping and most people will pet a
sitting dog. Everybody wins.

You'll also need to train your daughters to turn around when he's jumping
and to pet when he's sitting or he'll only associate it with you.
