The Kentucky State Constitution defines the state militia as all able bodied males 18-55.
I'd be surprised if your state didn't have that outlined also. That is the beauty of our state, even if federal laws limit gun ownership, in Kentucky I'm in the militia so the 2nd amendment specifically states i'm allowed.
