I have had the same issues with Sprint and Verizon.
With Verizon wireless I could go tot Giant and lose
The signal. In Safeway had to go outside just to make

Same here. For this area it seems to work quite well. Now if I were not
so far from a colo.

As for Cingular - when I had a cell phone it was from Cingular and I did
not like the service whatsoever - it was unreliable, and the coverage
area was lousy.
