The full quote is this: Some of the most powerful IEDs we are seeing in Iraq today includes components that came from Iran. Our director of National Intelligence, John Negroponte, told the Congress Tehran has been responsible for at least some of the increasing lethality of anti- coalition attacks by providing Shi'a militia with the capabilities to build improvised explosive devices in Iraq. Coalition forces have seized IEDs and components that were clearly produced in Iran. Such actions, along with Iran's support for terrorism and its pursuit of nuclear weapons, are increasingly isolating Iran. And America will continue to rally the world to confront these threats. (Applause.) But I agree with your point - Personally I have no doubt that the Iranian government is poking sticks (and other more lethal stuff) at the Americans. The question is, what are we going to do about it? I'm in favor of staying is Iraq, but it needs to be done the right way and Bush can't or won't do that so we need a change of leadership. As for what's to be done with Iran, the same thing that should've been done with Iraq: build a coalition, send in the Delta Forces, blah, blah, blah. But fight Al Quaeda first. The last thing you do against an "asymmetric" force is park yourself in one spot and let everyone know where you are. You fight that force with small hit teams, supreme human intelligence, and a ruthless pursuit of the enemy. But first you get the support of the world to do it. Pres Bush utterly squandered that opportunity by flipping the bird to the rest of world. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:200195 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
