With outlook, Whenever I am downloading emails, the entire outlook client freezes until it is completed downloading the emails. While it is Sending/Receiving you cannot for example switch folders in outlook, or view an email that has already downloaded.
Sometimes it pauses for a few seconds after it has completed downloading. I have noticed this with every version of Outlook, on ever computer that I've had.
