>>> I just remembered Ender's Game. I imagine you've already >>> encountered that though? >> >> >>I loved Ender's Game... Welcome... I remember even in Ender's game that Card had made mention of Mormonism, but at least in that case it was just a vague reference to Ender's parents being at odds because one of them was Mormon (father iirc) and the other wat Catholic. Unlike his later books where he seemed to try really hard in some cases to actually retell stories from the Book of Mormon. I had the same problem when I realized years later that the Chronicles of Narnia were retellings of the Bible in an attempt to make it palatable to kids. I still want to see the movies, but the disillusionment just taints what I thought as a child was a great story. When I think about it now it just reminds me of things like Veggie Tales and then I want to puke. s. isaac dealey 434.293.6201 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://coldfusion.sys-con.com/author/4806Dealey.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:200551 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
