On this one you're barking up the wrong tree. The whole oil thing is
yet another massive failure and miscalculation by the Bush
administration. Remember when Lawrence Lindsey was fired for claiming
Iraq would top $100 billion? Well ...

Prior to the war the administration (Wolfowitz, Libby, Cheney, Feith,
etc) all said that oil would pay for our occupation:

Paul Wolfowitz: "We're dealing with a country that can really finance
its own construction and relatively soon."

3 years later, that's still not true, and Iraq is costing the tax
payer $6 Billion per month and the costs are increasing! And America
has invested more to get oil than it's taken out (which isn't any
different than any of the business Bush ever ran considering they all
went bankrupt).

In recent testimony to Congress Condoleeza Rice said: "They, uh, are,
uh, producing currently, uh, um, at below the, uh, prewar range."

Translation: The American tax payer is fucked. There will be no oil
profits to pay for the war and there's no guarantee that anything
positive for America will be gained for America. In fact there's a
significant risk that the estimated $1 Trillion Iraq is going to cost
us will have bought us a more hostile world that we started with.
