Even if we completely controlled Iraqi oil AND it was the only oil left on the planet there's just not enough there to really matter. In fact all it would do is make us a target. It's like being the one with a candy bar amongst a group of starving people: that candy bar isn't going to save anybody's life but when the chips are down somebody will still slit your throat for it.
