Taking away the grunt work is 90% of the job.  If you can concentrate more
on the business logic and structure, then you're that much better off.

I went out and bought the O'Reilly ASP.net 2.0 Cookbook last night and
started reading it.  First thing they said is "GridView is great.....as long
as you only need the provided functionality", so it's along the same lines
of what you're saying I guess.

All I know is that it's really a confusing time for me as a programmer.  I
work in an all microsoft shop, yet we use CF for all web based stuff.  There
are a lot of times that it would be handy to use a ms tool to connect to ms
stuff.  Also, in my personal dev, I've been playing around with Ruby On
Rails.  I love coding this stuff because it's a lot of fun.  Sometimes, I
just don't know which way to go......and with 3 kids and a wife, I don't
seem to have a lot of time to dedicate to anything else.
