Yeah, that's a good point.  As everyone here probably knows I'm as
surprised as anyone.  However all of this has the "new economy" feel.

Remember during the boom how just when you thought stocks had gone as
high as they could go, they'd go higher?  And the contrarians were
cast as purveyors of doom and gloom who didn't understand the "new
economy"?

Well, I kind of feel like that now.  I feel like we're waiting for the
other shoe to drop which could be oil, another US terrorism strike
(although I think we'd be ok), dollar fears or punishment (the Arabs
boycott the dollar), etc.

I think the biggest shoe, however, is the baby boomers retiring and
the amount of debt they've left us all saddled with.

I can't help but feel that the children of the Greatest Generation
have screwed us all by spending all of their money and our's too. 
They were always spoiled, but it's us who'll pay the price. 
Literally.
