Well it'd be nice to think that the juries would be reasonable enough to not sentence most innocent people to death, although I have my doubts... I knew a woman whos 12 yr old son got sent to juvie for molesting a baby. According to the court, the same baby had already been molested by 3 separate adult men, all of whom were serving hard time in prison for the offense. So the question is: just exactly how sexy was that infant? Or more likely: just exactly how backward does the law need to be before someone realizes that people like the baby's mother are abusing it? She got away with it because it was illegal to bring prior convictions for the offense as evidence in court. Great... Now she can move to Louisiana and have the state kill for her.
