No offense taken - it's a legitimate question. I did ask them that at the time. They said no, they believe her all right, but they weren't sure they believed *him.* Whatever that means. I don't care whether they believe he was capable of carrying out his threat to kill her though, it's still a crime to threaten that. And I see no particular reason why he would do this to her in particular and never again to anyone else.
I did mention that I found a registered sexual offender who lives close to us and matches her rather precise description? I haven't show her his picture as I didn't want to jeopardize the ::cough:: investigation.
