So...again I need to solicit the advice of the experts of everything (cf-comm):
I have a friend who just bought an old house. In his bedroom is one of those huge old cast iron steam heaters, but it's hooked up to nothing, and it's really in the way. He needs to get rid of it ASAP. I thought I remember seeing a TV show where this company bought old cast iron fixtures like tubs, sinks, heaters, tanks etc. Suppsedly, IIRC, there is quite a market out there for these items, and one can get a decent amount of money for them. Anyone ever hear of this? Know of any place I can contact that might help me find out if it's worth anything, or we should just take it to the scrap heap and get a pennies for the iron?
