Ok, I know I am late in a lot of posts today. Sorry I had a crazy amount of VPN problems over the last few days, and was only getting some mail, and very little was actually getting out.
This is insane. For those people that were at CF United last year and saw these guys speak you will know why. First they claimed to be running on Blue Dragon, which we all proved wrong very easily by kicking off a couple of CF error messages. Then they said they had "some" Macromedia/Adobe still in the mix. Now they are claiming ASP, why because somewhere they have a single dev server running Blue Dragon ASP? I am so sick of Tom, I'm sick of his fucking antics, I'm sick of his ads, I'm sick of his inability to write a ColdFusion Application that could stand on it's merits, rather than it's popularity. Great, it's popular, it's still about some piece of shit code. This could have been a beacon for CFML, a flagship if you will. I am sure in the bidding war between Macromedia and Blew Atlanta (Yes I call it that on purpose) either one of those companies would have offered technical advisors, or maybe even money to rewrite the damn thing the right way. Instead we have a buggy, slow POS as our most used application in the entire world. Someone should sue them (Adobe?) for misrepresenting themselves. Don't get me wrong. I am a social butterfly, and my local scene relies heavily on MySpace to list shows and united games, and to email and crap.
