It's bloody amazing.

People are STILL producing Mods for Morrowind!!

I checked the latest files list and got all excited with some mod
about new faces etc. only to realise it's for morrowind! I had
expected that all the Latest Files would now be for Oblivion.

Talk about Replayability ^_^

As for PC gaming, we are once again on the cusp of a radical shift in
graphics technology.

The move to VISTA will bring DX10 3D shaders and techniques into the
fore. Unfortunately from what I am reading, these technologies will
require DX10 Cards. So, even if you buy a brand new DX9 card now, you
may need a new one early next year if you are really batty about
staying 'current'. I have also read that all new games will have a DX9
renderpath by default, and will probably support Shader 2.0, but DX8
level cards are probably going to be totally out the door totally.

There is also another school of thought which says that games actually
using DX10 aren't going to be for another year or two, however the new
Crysis game is DX10 capable, as is the Unreal 3.0 engine. So I think a
year or two is a bit far out, I would expect these newer titles early
2007.

I am in the running for a new PC , and have nto made a decision for
the month of March because I just don't know what to get, with the
pace technology is changing this year.
AMD is coming out with their completely new Chip architecture which
means that if you buy now the best chip, the FX60 is going to be the
last chip you can put into your machine without completely replacing
the motherboard since the new standard from AMD is AM2 type chips.

*sigh* Lots of decisions ^_^
