I was mostly being silly, but to the point. I really didn't think certifications did as much as they used to. Now that many people have years of experience a certification doesn't prove as much. Several years ago when things were very new, it was useful to have a class and certified trainers and the like.
But now if you go into a place and say you have 7 years of experience working on this exact same stuff, then they don't care about the other stuff. At least I know when I was hiring and when I've changed jobs I was told pretty plainly that certs didn't matter, it was the actual work I had done. Now, where it did matter was when they were billing my time. Because I had various certifications they billed my time higher than others. > -----Original Message----- > From: Dana Tierney [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, April 04, 2006 11:14 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: CC then NA? > > thank you for your input ;P > > >People still get certifications? > > > >> > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:202800 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
