What do you make of Bush's statement when asked about the leak?

"I don't know of anyone who leaked classified information".

What did you think when you heard him say that?
a) That he did not know who leaked it?
b) That he was lying outright?
c) That he was deliberately misleading the American people by playing
with the word "leak" in that sentence, because he and his
administration considered the release of information by them could
never be called a leak?

I (silly me), took him at his word. I assumed that he truly did not
know, and I also believed him (and his apparently faked anger) that he
was as interested as I was in tracking down the leaker.

According to McLellan on Friday, c) is now the official Administration
explanation of the statement.

He knew who had released the information, but did not consider it a
"leak". He also felt no need to explain this to the American people.

I personally feel this is worse than anything I can remember coming
out of the Clinton Administration.
