Many schools here in the US start the day with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, which does include the words "one nation under God". There is definitely hypocrisy there.
But the even bigger hypocrisy is the US currency - every bill and coin includes the phrase "In God we trust". Never really understood that. -----Original Message----- From: Angel Stewart [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Sunday, January 27, 2002 8:28 AM To: CF-Community Subject: RE:Religion in Schools ( Enron executive commits suicide) Hmm... I wonder if as Religion dies in schools across America..so will the students at the hands of their fellow students? In Trinidad in public schools it is mandatory that there be a few moments of prayer at the start and end of the day. Our National Anthem also mentions God..and it is not by chance either. -Angel ______________________________________________________________________ This list and all House of Fusion resources hosted by CFHosting.com.
