I'm feeling a bit over-involved in some negative thoughts (of my own) at the moment.
I'm not going to get into a huge discussion of what those thoughts are or why. I want to disentangle them and examine them and I think at the moment that will be easier to accomplish if I detach myself some and analyze them in silence without the distraction of further input. So I'm going to put myself on no-mail on the cf-community list for a while. I will probably still read the list for a day or two, but I won't be so tempted to respond through the web interface. I will still respond to email sent to me off-list. I will probably not accept phone calls for a few days if you're not a client. I will say (because I suspect some folks will assume or be interested to know) that today's thread about mandatory military service inspired me to make the decision, although it's not solely responsible. There were some things on my mind beforehand. This made me realize that I need to do some house-cleaning. I apologize for being caustic and disrespectful lately (not just today). I realize this is my own situation, so I'm changing something in an attempt to improve myself and hopefully transform some of this anger into something more constructive. I'm not certain yet if or when I'm going to put myself back on regular mail from the community list. Community is very important to me personally (as I've tried to express in the past) and so I'd like to say I absolutely will, although I don't know if or when I'll feel like I've made the change I want to make. Wow, I genuinely don't know how to express this feeling (previous sentence). Anyway, whether I put myself back on or not, now is as good a time as ever to say the following: I wanted to thank you all for your words over the past few years. (When did I join community?) I am deeply grateful for your support, your friendship, and your opinions, including the ones I disagree with. I say this to those who would like to consider me a friend - if you don't then there's no need to rebut, it's just an offering. s. isaac dealey 434.293.6201 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://coldfusion.sys-con.com/author/4806Dealey.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:204102 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
