I think he has shown himself to be just as much a child of the special interest now as any other politician. Only he has to deal with the special interests that run his state, in this case the special interests are farms and companies that rely heavily on illegally employing illegal immigrants. He is no longer an option in my voting book :)

I agree with this in that I don't think Iraq and Afghanistan are directly tied to our freedoms that we enjoy *in this country*. I don't think Al Quaeda cares about America, the country - they just want us out of the Middle East so they can have it for themselves. Ironically, the terrorists have already taken some of our freedoms - our freedom of travel is restricted, security is up, etc. To beat these people we need new and clever leadership - leadership that willing to listen, to change staff, to drop bad ideas and show agility, and to drop ideology in favor of tactics. Personally I think the person be suited to do that AND bring the country together is Sen McCain. We'll need to be warned that he's going to appeal to the religious right to get the nomination, but, unless he goes nuts, he's got my vote. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:204252 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
