Excellent point all.

One thing, to me, the company you work for now should be ethically bound to
give you the bonus. I mean, it's for past efforts, not future ones, and two
weeks short on the quarter isn't anything. I mean at a minimum they should
pro-rate the bonus, which is almost as good as getting the whole thing :)

Accept the position at the NP contingent on two weeks notice from your
current employer, explain that you're waiting for a bonus you earned and
that you'll essentially need a full month before you can start at the new
digs.

They'll either be amenable or they won't, so if they aren't, consider their
reasons and then take the decision again whether or not you want to work for
them (is it a clue as to what sort of employer they'll
be?)

If you're really anxious to start at the new digs, well, chalk it up to
lessons learned and hope the new job pays out in happiness/overall increase
in the quality of your life :-)

good luck
