Excellent point all. One thing, to me, the company you work for now should be ethically bound to give you the bonus. I mean, it's for past efforts, not future ones, and two weeks short on the quarter isn't anything. I mean at a minimum they should pro-rate the bonus, which is almost as good as getting the whole thing :)
