So if someone buys the Ebook from England, they need to pay tax to the

And , this means you need to setup multiple Sales Tax tables for every
different State in the US to sell music online? Complications. Cost to
provide the service goes up. Cost to setup a site goes up. Existing
vendors need to rework their software.

Why not just say f*** the US and setup shop offshore? It's the Internet.
THis is already happening with gaming, where Developers are moving off
shore because of the litigous nature of the US market, and it will
probably start happening in other areas as well.

Face it, the US is behind the technology curve of developed nations in
Europe and Asia when it comes to the Internet and mobile technology
adoption. Laws such as these, and restrictions such as these will only
serve to push it further behind.

Past Administrations saw this and pushed for indefinite moratoriums on
internet taxation.
