I'm actually always interested in knowing what's going on. And yes, I look at it in the same way as a slow motion trainwreck. It just gets old. The way I see it, Gel makes a serious daily effort to hunt down 3 or 4 articles and post them, blasting American policy and politics. Not just "hey look what interesting article I happened to run across", but "hey I spent 30 minutes this morning looking for the worst thing I could find about America and posted it to the list for everyone to see so they all will think America is bad, bad, bad...."
After awhile it just gets old. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone is free to post whatever they like, It just gets old. My real question is this... Gel - you use to be one of the happiest and most positive people on this list. You were always "bouncing around the room" talking about earsies and throwing muffins. Some time ago, that changed and the overall tone of your emails turned decidedly dark and negative. I don't know that this sort of change can be explained by the politics of a country you don't live in. I wonder - are you ok? Is something going wrong in your life right now? Maybe I missed it, but usually when I see people make this type of change in attitude it's because something very bad has happened to them in their personal life. Just curious - I know I am not always an active member on this list, but I have been around a long time and do pop in from time to time to keep up with everyone. Alot of people have gone through troubled times on this list and used it as a source to vent their frustrations and personal problems.
