I've been looking for an easy to make & consume breakfast that also has all the stuff in it a growing boy needs. I decided to try making shakes which originally was banana, OJ, and yogurt but it wasn't filling enough and had too much carbs.
So I began toying with my recipe and came across the following which is working great. It will sound disgusting but, if you're like me, you learned to pound back just about anything in college: Part 1 - Replenish carbs, spike insulin ------------------------------------------------------ 8 oz glass Pom juice, multi vitamin (I use Opti-men) Part 2 - Protein bomb w/ health kicker ---------------------------------------------------- 2 Scoops protein powder (I use Optimum's Gold Standard 100% Whey) 1 Tablespoon Benefiber (fills you up, keeps you regular) 1/2 Cup low-fat or non-fat plain yogurt 1/3 Cup freshly ground flax seed (I use a coffee grinder) 1/2 Cup Canned Pumpkin (it's got it all) Top it off to 4 cups with Green Tea Enjoy! I bought one of those GE hand mixers for $24 which I use to blend it all up and then I guzzle it down. Mmmmm. I usually do this about 6:30am and it keeps me full until noon or so. I may have a handful of almonds or something if I get the munchies, but I usually don't. Good Stuff! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:204827 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
