Cool!

I bought a ton of Black & Decker 18v tools, a couple of years ago, when
we were building our deck. I love each and every one of them. I now
have four 18v batteries that will definitely last a while, when working
on projects.

I just loves the orange!

Subject: Discovery of the day: I like battery powered tools

(It's still early in the day so I might make another discovery or two -
just be warned.)

My mother-in-laws (I'm not sure what the correct address is for a
lesbian
couple) got me a nice set of battery operated Skil tools as a house
warming.
A (surprisingly, full sized) circular saw, drill (with high-speed and
high-torque setting), spotlight and jigsaw with two batteries. They
also threw in a matching (but corded) sander.

I'm not sure if I'll give up my manual tools yet (I love my crank drill
and hand saw) but damn... I needed to cut a 4x4 in half (building a
pallet to keep my comics off the floor) and that circular saw chewed
through it.

Never needed to hunt for an extension cord, worry about cutting through
it or tripping over it and the thing seemed to have all the power it
needed.

I'm sure if I needed to use it for a long period of time that the
battery would fade and annoy but for my purposes (odd jobs around the
house) it's very, very nice. ;^)
