(snippage) I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love this remote in ways that's probably illegal in many states. Everything about it is so well thought out. My last "all in one" was a Sony AV 3100 which was 3 times the size of the Harmony 880, did NOT have a backlight (!), and frankly, I was just too stupid to ever get 'macros' to work. So while I could control everything from one remote, I had to do it one at a time. Yes, initial setup for the Harmony can be a pain, but I don't think it's any worse than any other universal remote. I LOVED not having to search for a code (something that at least one of my components has always required with every universal remote i've ever bought...you know the sequence...power TV on. 30 possible codes. Try code 1. Hit power. TV still on? Yes? Damn. Try code 2. Hit power. TV still on? Yes? Damn. etc). My wife (who I love dearly but is not so much the technophile) was using this remote successfully within 15 minutes after I had it set up. That right there speaks volumes. This is one of the very few items that I've ever bought that I've been 100% satisfied with.
