I also have an S50. I totally love that cam, except in low-light modes as you mentioned. It's been dropped a few times, by my wife, but it is still working just peachy. 5MP is just fine for the stuff I do.

That's annoying. Anyway, I want a point and shoot because I want pictures but don't want to carry around some big bulky thing. For example, I'm going on vacation in a few weeks and I don't want to have to take 5 minutes to set up a nice dinner shot or something. It's an ease of use thing.
