Yeah, money's got a point, it does sound odd.  Another factoid was
that Indian "middle class" wages are about 25% of US "middle class"
wages.  If the median income for US families is about $70,000 per
family of 4 (guess) then the Indian wage would be approximately $18k.

So I'd guess the breakdown is something like this:

1.) 2% making > US$100k/yr
2.) 10% making > US$50k/yr
3.) 10% making > US$20k/yr
4.) The 25% making $18k
5.) 23% making between $360/yr and $18k/yr.
6.) 25% making "less than $1 per day" or $360/yr

Just a guess ...
