Well.. sorta.  But not because of ICT - that's common to both formats.

Also remember that both formats are still the same physical format (a 5 inch 
optical disc).  This means that we should see (and hopefully shortly) 
multi-format players that do Blu-Ray, DVD HD, DVD, CD and all the 
mini-variations of those.

So there is _some_ light at the end of the tunnel.  It _might_ end up that both 
formats survive but the user is, for most part, unaware of them.

It'll (hopefully) be more like the burnable DVD format wars - early adopters 
got screwed but prices came down so much later that it didn't matter.  You can 
get a dual-layer DVD+-R/RW burner for less than $50 now.

Here's hoping.  ;^)
