Hi Dana:

Honestly, not sure yet :)

Everything's pretty much healed up, but the recovery process did take
a bit longer than expected because I got an infection/absess in my
nose. That was ridiculously painful, which I had originally
attributed to the surgery itself (since everyone told me it was going
to be ridiculously painful). But the doc saw it and gave me some
antibiotics that cleared it up in about a week.

So with the septoplasty and turbinate reduction...yes, I can breathe
better through my nose than I was able to do prior to the surgery.

I'm not sure about the apnea yet tho. I'm still ridiculously tired
during the day...and I'm not sure if it's because the apnea's still
there or because I'm still catching up from being out of commission
for a month. I had originally expected it would take 2 weeks...during
which I expected I'd at least be able to sit at a computer. But for a
full month I was really just unable to do anything...so the past few
weeks have been perpetual catch-up :\

I have a sleep study on June 9 (they were going to do it sooner but
pushed the date back to allow for the infection to fully heal).
Looking forward to that to get a better idea of where I stand.

I'm not currently using my CPAP...but if the sleep study shows that I
still have apnea, I'll talk to the doc about getting the nasal pillow
mask and I guess I'll have no choice but to make it work. 'Til then
I'm just kind of taking it day by day hoping to feel well rested
eventually :)

Thanks for asking tho. I appreciate it.
