"Stay the course" has to be the most overused metaphor. So, what exactly do you do by staying the course. Most people are acknowledging that we went in under false pretenses and we've not executed the invasion well so far. So "staying the course" seems to be analogous to "fucking things up", which I don't think we need to do anymore of.
