That was my first reaction... but then again if they're getting something out of it who am I to stop them. I mean I personally see no reason to do this... I've been in too many physical confrontations as an adult to enjoy or need them in any way. But at the same time I can see how somebody that's never been a part of one might get a rush from the idea - perhaps even an addictive rush. In the end if they "enjoy" it who cares? If you're a good fighter then you get hurt less - is that really any different than any "extreme sport"? If you're a crappy snowboarder/skateboarder/rock climber/cliff diver/base jumper/whatever you'll end up with as many (or potentially even worse) injuries. Getting the crap beaten out of you by a warehouse full geeks has to be, at the very least, a cheaper option.
