Yup, that part pissed me off. It one thing to go protect a fellow mutant, but to protect the genocidal army was ridiculous. Overall, I thought the plot-line was the best of the three movies, but I thought the director Brett Ratner did only an average job, probably a C+. There was more cheese moments in this one than the last two combined. (Angel spreading his wings in his best impersonation of Anakin in the "worst-scene-in-episode-3"...Nooooooo!) And why did they make Angel so conflicted? He is supposed to be a pimp before he gets transformed into Archangel. I also think they jumped the gun with Phoenix, and did a poor job in laying out her existence. *But as a fan, I highly recommend the movie as a whole, there are some cool things going down, which I'll let you see for yourselves.
