I don't have much of a problem with people using "celebrity status" to get a message out especially if it's sincere and helpful (Bono, Bob Geldoff, George Clooney, Princess Diana, etc) but they should do things like that on their own time. If I went to a concert I'd expect music not some soapbox speech whether I agreed with the message or not.
