I got the same thing a couple of weeks ago from a relative, something was wrong with his laptop and it wouldn't reboot properly. Expected that I would instantly know what the problem was and could trouble shoot it over the phone.
The other thing I LOVE is that when relatives are over and their kids want to use my computer. The last guy that asked is a mechanic, my response was sure as long as you don't mind my 11 year old stopping by on Monday to play hop scotch with your wrenches and sockets. -----Original Message----- From: William Bowen [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, June 12, 2006 3:15 PM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Anyone else working now? > Of course around here if you work on a computer then you must be rich and have > the easiest job in the world. Of course... A personal favorite of mine though is the assumption that because one works with a computer one can diagnose any issue relating to a computer (especially software installs) without a description of the problem more accurate than "I hit a key and it beeps" or "I was installing some software and there's no OK button." .....sigh... both problems I troubleshat for my parents this week... -- will "If my life weren't funny, it would just be true; and that would just be unacceptable." - Carrie Fisher ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:208841 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
