I understand that both bases vote and it's the republican base that's more volitile. The reason a larger turn out favors Democrats is because it means a 4th election group has showed up: a coalition of the youth/fringe/hippie vote. Kerry counted on this "4th factor", the youth, and they didn't show. Bush won because he mobilized his base, brought in the fringe, and swung independents. Iraq was a major factor in that swing, but now it's swung the other way. Whether it'll be that way in November is anyone's guess. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:209052 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
