Actually, I rent in a very safe area, although Boston as a whole is not always safe (the drawback with public transportation is that trouble gets cheap transport too.)
FWIW, the police got here literally within 120 seconds. Both local and one state trooper car, and they surrounded the whole area. I don't think they found anything, though, since they are still circling now and then.
