It's working in Northern Ireland as well. I think the US, having made the stupid decision to invade mostly alone, now has to stay - for at least a generation. That means 15-20 years minimum to me. If that's going to be the case we're going to have walk a very fine line of occupying force versus peace keeping force. What would help is engaging the UN and our allies to help share the occupation, but we need to ensure peace until liberty and rule of law are basic expectations of a new generation. It's that new generation that will ensure Iraq becomes a bastion of democracy in the Middle East - Bush's vision. Amnesty is the only path to that goal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:210348 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
