Cool -- I just learned something new!

They told me the iron story when I first arrived in '72, and it made sense 
because it looked and tasted like rust.  Then again, we associate taste with 
what we see we're eating or drinking, and I can see how combined with the 
acidic nature of tannins could fool me into thinking I was actually tasting 
rust.

Strange.

  +1 - yup that's true.  And, actually, Rainy lake was REALLY clear last
  time I was there.  You could see down 50 feet.
