Recalling from my own experience, after everything's said and done, you have to spend 40 days and 40 nights in an unremembering haze.
I was still in the USMC at the time, and got deployed to 29 Stumps for 6 weeks... every night at the Warrior's Club was the recipe for a new and better Me.
