That is exactly why I thought Sharon was so f-ing brilliant to force a
withdrawal from Gaza.

Just like with what we are seeing with Lebanon, Israel can finally
treat Gaza as a warring nation, and attack it with full military
might, and not have to treat it like an internal police action on
their own (or occupied) citizens.

It is up to the Lebanese nation to reign in the Hezbollah militants,
which are part of their government. Just as we would be expected to
reign in the Minutemen if they decided to start attacking Mexico. Or
Canada if the Quebecois decided to attack Michigan. Or the French if
the French Basque attacked Spain. Just as the Palestinian government
must reign in Hamas and their terrorists, or face a real war.

If they can't do it, they can ask for intervention by the UN and
fellow Arab nations to help them internally get a handle on their
armed terrorists. But it is their responsibility, since part of their
government, and their people, are attacking another sovereign nation.
