we did a big checkout together... with him on his leash, calmly walking around, i said "mr steve" and gave him treats when we were in steve's room and then took him to the kids room where their toys and stuff were, and gave him treats and he was wagging his tail the whole time... he found the door in the front of the house in NO TIME... knows where my bed is already, and knows where his water and food are :)
he knows where his potty door is and where to pee and poo. all small treats at every station... good stuff!!! i will repeat all of these all night and in the morning and make sure he knows that the smell of mr steve is a good thing, and we should be good to go. there is plenty of room to teach him to be cordial with more people than just mommy and daddy and the few friends that we had over on a regular basis but by and large he will be with me at all times, or in my bedroom sleeping :) he can go 12 hours with nothing, and hold everything, and ive even done 18 hours and not a single mistake or torn couch! he is the shit. its just time for some people training... but that shouldnt be too hard, he is a whiz at learning everything else he does and is currently sitting on the floor next to my computer desk, sleeping like he always did at home :) the sound of keys on my keyboard must put him to sleep. pops is in a zenlike state right now, this is too fucking cool!!! wow. my boy is back with me. good stuff. aight y'alls... time for some doggie training and some website work. peace out. tw and rocky!
